We’re Hiring: Community Events Manager at Greentop Community Circus Centre!

Greentop Community Circus Centre is looking for a brilliant, organised and people‑focused Community Events Manager to join our team and help us bring circus, creativity and community connection to even more people across Sheffield and beyond.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with people, thrives in a creative environment, and wants to make a real impact in local communities.

The role is responsible for “the development, coordination and delivery of Greentop’s Community Events programme… overseeing project delivery, administration, freelance artist coordination, partnership development and marketing.”

What is the Community Events Manager role?

This is a 24‑month, part‑time role (20 hours per week) with flexibility built in – perfect for someone who wants meaningful, creative work that fits around life.

You’ll be the friendly, organised engine behind Greentop’s community events:

  • outreach workshops
  • school programmes
  • community celebrations
  • bespoke performances
  • and new partnerships that help circus reach more people

You’ll manage the full client journey – from the first enquiry to the final evaluation – ensuring every group, school, family or organisation has a brilliant experience with Greentop.

What will you be doing day‑to‑day?

A real mix – and that’s what makes this role exciting.

You’ll be:

  • Coordinating workshops, programmes and events
  • Matching freelance circus teachers and performers to the right projects
  • Preparing quotes, proposals and contracts
  • Managing budgets, invoicing and reporting
  • Building relationships with schools, community groups and partners
  • Helping develop new opportunities and grow Greentop’s reach
  • Working with the Marketing Lead to create promotional content
  • Supporting the Director with strategic development

You’ll also help maintain and grow our freelance talent pool – “building positive working relationships” and “coordinating recruitment and deployment of freelance artists and teachers.”

If you love variety, people, and purposeful work, you’ll thrive here.

Are you who we are looking for?
