Join us for a Summer of Circus
Greentop is bringing opportunities for families to explore and develop aerial and circus skills this summer!
There are free Troupe Shows (Greentop’s youth circus performance group) across Sheffield and Chesterfield, for a chance to see amazing performances and have a go!
Take part in 2-Day Circus Clubs and our 5-Day Summer Circus Camp ‘Show in a Week’ across July & August.
We have our free Healthy Holidays Programme, for kids on free school meals and free tasters as part of the Children’s University Summer of Fun.
Greentop is hosting Family, Adult and Youth Taster Sessions for absolute beginners to try out aerial and circus skills on Saturday 2nd September.

Clubs
Come along to our two-day Circus Clubs and develop skills in aerial hoop, trapeze, silks and floor-based circus skills.
Try and develop skills in aerial hoop, trapeze and silks. Our floor-based circus skills activities include a mixture of dance, acrobalance and manipulation circus skills. The day starts & ends with fun warm-ups/warm-downs and games.
Suitable for ages 7 – 16, with or without previous experience.
There are 4 dates to choose from in July & August. Further information below.

- The camps include two days of aerial hoop, trapeze, silks and floor-based circus skills activities (a mixture of dance, acrobalance and manipulation circus skills). The day starts & ends with fun warm-ups/warm-downs and games.
- Wear comfortable clothing for sporting activity e.g. leggings, a long sleeve t-shirt, indoor trainers or plimsolls. Please don't wear clothing with zips, buttons, studs or any embellishments (ensure your clothing is purely fabric) remove any piercings and jewellery and ensure nails are cut short. This is to avoid damaging the aerial equipment and ensure your safety. If the tutors consider that you are inappropriately dressed for any activity, you may not be allowed to take part and a refund will not be offered.

Summer Circus Camp
Learn a range of aerial, tumbling & ground-based skills, such as tightwire, diabolo & stilt walking.
There will then be a chance to specialise in a chosen skill & create a routine for a show on Friday for family & friends.
Open to all young people between the ages 7 – 16, with or without previous experience.
Monday 21st - Friday 25th August 2023
9.30am - 4.00pm
Early Bird Ticket - £160.00 for all 5 days. Available until Tue 1 Aug 11:45 pm.
Standard Ticket: £190.00

Sheffield Showcase
These Taster Sessions are part of the Sheffield Showcase, a collaborative event between a multitude of arts and culture groups based in the city, the Sheffield Showcase takes place over the first weekend in September.

Family Fun Circus Skills Session
Saturday, 2 September ’23, 10 am – 11:30 am at Greentop Community Circus Centre
Details
A 1.5-hour fun family circus skills session of floor-based circus skills. Come and play, and learn with your family members. Skills include juggling, Diabolo, tightwire, balance a feather, plate spinning, poi, stilts and more….
Aimed at Children and their family members 7yrs – 107yrs (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

£7 for 1 child and 1 adult or £13:50 for 2 children and 1 adult.
Youth Aerial Skills Taster Session
Saturday 2nd September 2023, 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Greentop Community Circus Centre
Details
An aerial taster where you will experience a range of aerial disciplines (trapeze/hoop/silks) for young people.
This is a great way to find out if you would like to join us on a regular basis or just for fun.
For children and young people aged 7-17 years.

Adult Aerial Skills Taster Session
Saturday, 2 September ’23, 3:30-5 pm at Greentop Community Circus Centre.
Details
This is a 1.5-hour aerial experience for adults introducing skills in hoop, trapeze & silks. This is open to complete beginners, no previous experience is required.

Troupe Shows
Come and see what you could do! 11 amazing young people performing on our outdoor rig and a chance to have a go. Free performances across the region this summer include:
- July 9th at Firth Park Funday, shows at 1pm & 3.30pm

Free Healthy Holidays Programme
Free Healthy Holidays Circus Sessions this August for children who receive free school meals!
Relaxed, friendly sessions learning circus tricks, playing games and having lots of fun.
2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th & 17th of August.
- 10am – 12pm for ages 4 – 7*
- 1pm – 3pm for ages 8 – 11
Lunch is included for each booked child.

Children’s University Summer of Fun Festival 2023
Have a go at a range of circus skills including juggling, diablo, stilts, and balancing in our FREE workshops! A free class for Children’s University passport holders, as part of the Festival of Fun 2023.
A taster circus skills class aimed at children and young people 7 – 16 years.
