Candi was involved with Greentop in its early days before building a career across voluntary and public sector organisations in London. She now leads commissioning and transformation programmes for Sheffield City Council and the Integrated Care Board, bringing strong experience in early years and children’s services. She’s passionate about Greentop’s community role and its positive impact on children and families.
Diccon Lowe is a parent of children who have attended Greentop for around eight years and has seen firsthand the transformative impact of circus. He has also volunteered with Troupe, an experience he greatly values. Diccon became a trustee to support Greentop’s continued development and to represent parents’ voices within the Board.
Becci Burley discovered Greentop in 2019 as a complete beginner excited to try aerial hoop and silks. Circus quickly became a passion that reshaped her sense of what she could achieve, including performing in Scratch Shows. Motivated by Greentop’s impact on children, adults and circus professionals, she joined the Board to support its mission. As Chair, she brings corporate experience in tech leadership, strategic thinking and collaborative problem‑solving.
Ian Morley is a freelance creative professional with more than twenty years’ experience in the South Yorkshire arts sector. His work spans producing large‑scale outdoor festivals, programming theatre, touring small‑scale shows, performing, stage management and leading creative workshops. He has held roles including Arts Development Officer at Barnsley Council and Head of Programming and Artist Development at The Civic, Barnsley. Ian now works as a freelance programmer for The Royal and Derngate in Northampton.
Richard Gillett has been involved with Greentop in many roles, including student, manipulation, acrobalance and aerial tutor, performer, technician, builder, electrician and Trustee. Greentop has given him opportunity, camaraderie, pride, challenge and the occasional circus‑related bump and bruise, all of which fuel his ongoing commitment to the organisation and its community.
Nina Kane has a background in community arts, theatre research and teaching. She previously served as a Trustee for Leeds Children’s Circus from 2000–2003 and joined Greentop’s Board in 2016 as a parent trustee. Greentop has supported her daughter for more than eleven years, and Nina is committed to helping the organisation continue to grow so it can nurture future generations of young circus artists.
