Corde Lisse with Claire Crook

This workshop will introduce you to the art of corde lisse, which has been my passion for many years! We will look at various interesting ways of climbing, locks, drops and short sequences that are specific to corde lisse. The focus will be on good technique, clean lines and good quality of movement.
Participants must be able to climb a rope / silks and invert.
About the tutor
Claire Crook is an accomplished circus and theatre performer with a wide range of skills. She is primarily an aerial performer specialising in Corde lisse, she also performs silks, aerial hoop, static trapeze, doubles rope, hula hoops, stilt walking and fire. She has worked widely in circus theatre, traditional and contemporary circus, cabaret, corporate and community events. She is an experienced teacher of aerial skills, and a circus rigger. She loves a challenge and is particularly interested in developing narrative and theatricality in her work.
Please wear clothing which covers your skin (including a long sleeved top), but nothing with zips, studs etc. and no jewellery which may damage the equipment. Also ensure nails are cut short. If the tutors consider that you are inappropriately dressed for any activity, you may not be allowed to take part and a refund will not be offered. You may wish to bring water, a notebook, pen, and a camera.
