Youth Aerial is a great opportunity for young people to learn a variety of Aerial Skills, including trapeze, hoop, silks and much more!
We have recently introduced a second Youth Aerial session to meet demand for student places, and to provide a progression route for young people who wish to develop their aerial skills at an advanced level. Details of the new session can be found below:

This group is open to all, from complete beginners to those with more experience.

Info
Starting with the static trapeze, participants will learn how to warm-up safely, how to climb ropes and then how to transfer on to the trapeze bar. The sessions then progress to cover various moves from sitting, standing, under the bar and using the ropes. Classes also get to sample other skills and techniques including:
- Linking moves and techniques together
- Choreography and presentation
- Other aerial equipment such as silks, hoop, corde lisse
All sessions are taught by experienced circus tutors in a safe and friendly environment
Booking
As our Youth Aerial sessions are very popular and often oversubscribed, all places must be booked in advance. There is a maximum of 16 places in Group 1 and 8 places in Group 2. Bookings can be made over the phone on 0114 2448828.
You can pre-book individual sessions or a half-term or full term block.
The price of the session is £6.50 for all participants. We run a bursary scheme as we believe cost should not be a barrier to learning. For more information about our bursary scheme please contact the office.
