Greentop’s Hot House professional development project has helped Natalie Hunt to cultivate her act as a self-coined ‘vegetable educator’.

Hot House is Greentop's exciting new artist development programme, offering an opportunity for artists to develop new work, ideas and collaborations. Hot House is funded through Arts Council England's Circus North project and as such successful applicants are only expected to pay a nominal fee. In July Natalie along with seventeen other circus and street artists attended the first round of Hot House, Greentop’s new artist development programme.
The workshops and one-on-one time with experienced trainers such as Gerry Flanagan helped her develop new material for her act: Madame Zucchini.

Madame Zucchini’s vegetable theatre show introduces children to characters such as Peter Parsnip, Lois Leek and the dreaded Artificial Cheese Beast! With the rise of childhood obesity in mind, using comedy and theatre Madame Zucchini helps to steer children away from unhealthy food with her 5-a day heroes.
