New Building Feasibility Study Swings into Action
Date: 8 July 2011

Greentop is launching a quest for the consultants and architects who will complete a feasibility and development project and take the charity on its first tangible steps towards a second circus centre in Sheffield.

The feasibility study, which is being funded through Yorkshire Forward and South Yorkshire Community Foundation, will begin deatailed business planning for the scheme, as well as searching in earnest for a suitable site- with some options in mind already.

Chief Executive Craig Gamble Pugh explains: "We have owned and run our current beautiful Community Cicus Centre since 1994, and the floor space and single-room layout does not allow us to expand in the way we need to if we are to become sustainable."

"A second, larger facility is now required so we expand our audiences, run more professional courses and training, and also become more financially sustainable by hiring out studios and workshops to other artists and companies."

Interested parties are invited to view the full consultancy brief online and respond before the July 26th deadline.
