Positive funding news again as Greentop gets green light to resume its 'Kids Can Do' youth outreach work

After a gap of 2 months, Greentop, along with other youth providers across Sheffield, has been given the go ahead to resume its popular programme of out of school outreach provision. The scheme, funded by government Positive Activities for Young People, is targeted at young people age 8-13. The scheme's city-wide name is 'Kids Can Do', but after a shaky commissioning process, things seemed uncertain.

"For a while it looked like a case of Kids Can't Do," explains Greentop CEO Craig Gamble Pugh. "We tendered for this work as part of Youth Consortium Sheffield, a voluntary sector alliance of youth providers, and this success shows how important this kind of consortium model can be."

Greentop has been offered a contract for just under £24,000 to deliver activities in the North, North East, South and South East community assembly areas, and will be announcing delivery plans in the coming weeks.
