Applications are now open for the next round of Hot House, Circus North's new artist development project.
The scheme, funded through Arts Council Lottery funds, is part of the Circus North project to develop circus arts in the north. An initial Hot House workshop will be held in January after which participating artists will be able to take part in further days support from an established director and exclusive use of Greentop's circus centre as a creation space.
The initial workshop will be held on April 23, 24, 25 and will be an opportunity for artists to workshop their ideas in a like minded group with support from Gerry Flanagan, who joined Greentop as associate Creative Director earlier in 2011 to run the scheme.
The scheme is open to any artist or group of artists working in circus or associated art forms, including physical theatre and street arts, who feel that the support on offer could help them contribute to the growth and development of circus arts in the North.
Application details for the programme are available online- got to the Hot House page of our website for more details. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis, so don't delay!
