The Olympics are coming and Greentop has been given an Olympic mission- to find Olympic themed circus and street acts to participate in the festivities.

We have been approached by The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympics Games (LOCOG) to help find professional artists to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Greentop Circus works with many professional artists and through its 'Circus North' banner it promotes circus talent from the North of England, so this is a great opportunity to show what we can do.

Successful applicants will perform in front of a packed Olympic Stadium and a worldwide broadcast audience of more than one billion people. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of one of the largest events ever staged in the UK.

Greentop's Events and Entertainment manager, James Harkness, predicts a huge boost in demand for sports and olympixcs themes performers: "There is a huge interest in this fabulous event, and requests for acts have already begun to come in. We'd encourage any performers with characters, routines, costumes or acts which fir with the overall theme of the olympics or sports, to upload deatails to our Greentop Entertainers webpages."
