Greentop Circus Launches New Pirate Act on Segways for Summer

Ahoy there me hearties! New for 2012, Greentop Circus presents Pirates Ho! An interactive pirate themed act on two-wheeled electric Segway transporters.

This is a new concept in interactive public entertainment – rather than walk-about, this is roll-about! The Segways drive at a top speed of 10mph and have a zero degree turning circle, they are fun and quite mesmerizing to watch and that is even before the performers start to entertain their audience.

The act comprises of a male and a female pirate who sail in their Segway ‘Landships’, humorously terrorizing landlubbers and salty dogs alike with their witty pirate banter and bawdy sea shanties.

The entertainers are seasoned performers who will keep the audience laughing and singing along, mixing modern technology and traditional circus skills to enthrall and amaze everyone; families, kids, students and even members of her Majesty’s Royal Navy.

Pirate Pete is accompanied by his First Mate and between them they have sailed the seven seas, with over 20 years performance experience in circus, shows, clubs and festivals worldwide.

Added extras on the Segway Landships include custom fitted rigging, integral 2 x 300w digital sound systems that play pirate music and sound effects and special CO2 cannons with realistic cannon sound effects.
