Amidst the beautiful and unique setting of Chatsworth grounds Greentop Circus was out in force again for their annual Bonfire and Fireworks event. Over 4,000 people were entertained by our amazing stilt walkers, interactive entertainers and fire performers.
Eye Witness:
“We were greeted by stiltwalkers dressed in bright friendly costumes all of which were decorated and illuminated with twinkling, colourful lights. Entertainers welcomed us and led us onto the lawn where the event was taking place, there we were greeted by glow and fire performers on the entertainment stages as the steel band played some contagiously danceable pop hits.
A Greentop ringmaster was hosting the event and soon it was time for the countdown for lighting the huge bonfire.
“10, 9, 8…” the audience all shouted with enthusiasm “…3, 2, 1!” Then the bonfire was lit spectacularly with pyrotechnic flares. Once the fire was alight, the fire artists began their stereo fire show (it was on the two stages) and Chatsworth was lit up by a scorching spectacular performance that included flaming swords, burning hula hoops, triple fire staffs and a breathtaking fire breathing finale.
The performers worked really hard all night, putting in extra sparkles to make sure everyone left with a big smile on their face.”
Greentop works with Chatsworth House on many of its annual events in addition to the Bonfire night event, including seasonal entertainment at Christmas and Easter and children’s holiday circus workshops.
